Showing up as a top LEC player
Nia: you're obviously not new to the KC roster, but with this being your first full year with the team on the LEC stage [after one rookie split in summer 2024], how has it been?
Vladi: up till now, I think the year is going very well, obviously in my rookie split last summer we managed to get fourth place and now coming into this year, we won the LEC winter split, we went to First Stand, we made it to finals - we're doing well in this second split. I'm really satisfied with it so far.

Nia: the broadcast have been talking about you being the mid laner best placed to challenge Caps of G2 Esports, what do you make of this?
Vladi: I mean... I'm not sure, scrims are going well I have to say - facing the strong mids like Caps and Humanoid which is good, but I don't think I'm at the level of being the best mid - or one of the best yet. My performance has been a bit rough when we are winning, but I feel good
Facing off against GX
Nia: in all three games the early game looked a little dicey for you guys, as a team we've heard that you struggle with the early game, why do you think this is?
Vladi: in scrims we are way better obviously, but in officials not so much. We're just talking a bit I guess, but this week's scrims the early games have been good - its just unfortunate for today. We still do a better early game than the previous week is still an accomplishment!
Nia: a win is a win for sure! Game two looked tough, what were the voice comms like on your end?
Vladi: the voice comms were definitly a bit chaotic, I said in PGL about the carries being on a bot and you know there was a way to end in my opinion but it happens sometimes that you have bad games. There were some good points but we won game three so we are still happy!
Nia: KC was the representative of EU at the first ever First Stand, that's obviously a huge task - how have you kept up momentum since returning to LEC?
Vladi: we are not on the same level as First Stand for now, or at least not what we are showing in officials. But we are getting there slowly, we are working on it, and if we keep doing what we do in scrims, we will continue to get even better than First Stand - we just need some time.
LEC pop quizzes and celebrating synnergy
Nia: Yike obviously came into the roster for this year, and in such a short time you guys have built an incredible synnergy - we've also seen you guys flame each other a little in voice comms - so what has that process been like?
Vladi: Me and Yike are the type of people who flame each for fun we are clearly doing it for the content [author note - we love to see it] its just funny. We only have one split together and already have good synnergy, some work is needed on Vi x Ahri but we are making it work! We see the game the same way and I'm happy to work with him
Nia: I have to ask, how on earth were you able to guess Nasus from 'snoop dogg?' in the LEC guess the champion pop quiz?
Vladi: I mean he said Snoop Dogg and Nasus came to mind, he basically said dog - Nasus isn't a dog, somewhere in between. I don't know what was going through my mind
Nia: what has been your highlight since joining the LEC?
Vladi: obviously winning against G2 3-0 they were the defending champions, six wins in a row or something and Caps who is obviously the best LEC mid for a long time. Beating them 3-0 and going to First Stand are my highlights for sure
Special thanks to Vladi for agreeing to be interviewed by yours truly! I had great fun getting to hear about his journey thus far. Thank you for reading!
See you on the next one!
